Welcome to the Meltwater Group blog (woot woot!). Since we were started in 2001, Meltwater has been “under the radar” when it comes to external communications. We’ve been very focused internally on company growth, expansion and sales. Here we are in 2009: 700 employees large, 15,000+ clients and 50 offices around the world. We’ve worked hard and now it’s time to surface and talk about what we’ve been up to and how we got here.

What you will see on this blog are the true stories told first-hand of the blood, sweat, tears, joy, triumphs and lessons learned by our employees. Most of the initial posts will come from employees who are going through or have been through the International Management Trainee Program. This blog is a place for our employees to take some time out of their busy lives to talk about and reflect on their personal experiences working for Meltwater; their passions, their dreams and the craziness of some their experiences.

Something we talk about often at Meltwater is the culture. Our values say a lot about our culture, but it’s also the rich perspectives of our people who will be able to tell you what it’s really like to work here, as well as the personal and professional challenges they’ve overcome since joining the company. Deeper insight into our culture will also be provided through the occasional blog contribution from our CEO, Jorn Lyseggen, who started this powerhouse, SaaS company with one of his buddies, $15,000 in funding and a trusty coffee machine.
