Awards season is upon us again – and I don’t mean the Hollywood variety! Numerous awards assessing and celebrating different workplaces and employers are in full swing.

Last week we launched Meltwater Buzz Engage, a new engagement module in our Meltwater Buzz platform that makes social conversations actionable and measurable. To coincide with the launch, Meltwater hosted a number of “Buzz Ups” – our version of the Tweet Up.
Meltwater Buzz offices throughout the globe (literally – NYC, Boston, San Francisco, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Sydney and Singapore) hosted Buzz Ups at local bars and venues and invited clients, social media influencers, industry colleagues and regular ol’ friends to get together, engage with one another and enjoy a drink.

Last fall, Meltwater launched a student competition across Asia to give students around the region a chance to show just how creative they can be. They were tasked with identifying a creative solution to an everyday problem, and we received some very creative ideas ranging from ways to remove trash from our beaches to efficient ways to cut down queues. Thanks to help in promoting the contest by student groups such as AIESEC, SIFE and NES and institutions like NUS and HKU to name a few, we received entries from over 150 applicants!
