When I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, international management and international marketing were two careers paths that I though sounded super exciting. I had just finished up my studies in the States and wasn’t at all interested in returning to my little hometown in Sweden, so when I saw Meltwater’s ad for International Management Trainee in Oslo I applied immediately.

 

The “Meltwater” part wasn’t the part that caught my eye. To be honest, I hadn’t heard about Meltwater before, but International and Management were keywords that caught my eye, and, after reading about the company, I was hooked.

To anyone joining Meltwater today, there are countless possibilities. Meltwater has a young but rich heritage of people development, career progression and, for those who seek it, international opportunity.  It’s an exciting time to join Meltwater.

I remember very clearly sitting in a conference room at the Crown Plaza in Philadelphia, one cold December afternoon and Jorn asking me very pointedly, “Has anyone ever told you that you’re pompous?” It was a question that made me wonder how someone could see through my over the top confident, “Mr. Professional” act after only a couple hours of interviews.
