When I first walked through the elevator doors on my first day as a Sales Consultant at Meltwater News in Edinburgh, I was too preoccupied to consider what Meltwater might have in store for me or where it might land me in the future. I was mainly concerned with impressing my new colleagues (most of whom I’d last seen on my interview panel), not stammering, walking in my higher-than-usual killer attitude heels, and taking it all in – welcome balloons, streamers, beautiful views from the Edinburgh balcony, and fulfilling a lot of big career promises to myself.
