When Meltwater News’ Americas-East Area Director asked me  last February if I wanted to move to Buenos Aires to take over as Managing Director of our office there, it took me all of about 30 seconds to decide. Do I want the arctic winds of Boston—where people had been hibernating since November and showed no signs of emerging any time soon—or amazing food, wine, art, nightlife and instant transportation to mid-summer?  Not a difficult choice. Jung´s Take on Meltwater

Last week, the Meltwater management team met in San Francisco for our annual Executive Leadership Training through Oxford University.

Meltwater’s objective is to become one of the top 100 software companies in the world within the next five years. This is a pretty incredible goal, so Meltwater is investing in external training from some of the world’s most respected educational institutions to make sure that we are prepared for the challenges ahead of us.

A major focus of this particular session was the concept of how personality affects behavior, and how to make the most of each individual’s strengths and weaknesses.

A friend from university recently came up to me at a recruitment event and said, “Samantha, of all the people I knew at Brandeis, you are the last person I would see doing this. I mean the company looks cool and everything, but sales?”
